Het Jacoba-aardewerk wordt vanaf 1897 gemaakt van binnenlandse kei, ingekrast en vaak voorzien van metaalglazuren. Jacoba-aardewerk verwijst naar Jacoba van Beieren (1401 – 1436) mogelijk vanwege de zogeheten 15de-eeuwse Jacoba-kannetjes.
