See
During the renovation, we will accompany our visitors outside. The collection will be on display in new places, and activities will take place at other locations.
While the Museum Prinsenhof Delft is being renovated and refurbished (2025-2027), it will present a varied programme in the city and beyond. We have created a mural in the Buitenhof district and masterpieces from the museum’s collection will be guests at other museums, the Stedelijk Museum Breda and Royal Delft, among them. We will continue the successful Delft Perspective city programme and our educational role with the philosophical theatre production ‘Strijdtoneel!’ (battlefield), in collaboration with zAAk A. We are also going to launch a podcast. While the museum is closed, you can still admire our collection online at any time.
On The Agenda
- Masterpieces will be welcome guests elsewhere
- Visit the mural Cherished in the Buitenhof district
- Exhibition on William the Silent at the Stedelijk Museum Breda
- Youth theatre performance in collaboration with zAAk A at Theater de Veste
- Podcast launch
- Admire the full collection online

Mural Cherished
In the Buitenhof district of the city, on one end of the Haydnflat building, a very special mural can be seen: Cherished. This ‘museum mural’ was created in cooperation with the community, street artist BEYOND and the CANIDREAM foundation.
Discover Winkeltje Kouwenhoven
For those with a sweet tooth, there is Winkeltje Kouwenhoven – the nicest and oldest sweet shop in the city – and part of the Museum Prinsenhof Delft. You will find traditional Dutch sweets here: ‘peppermint pillows’, cinnamon sticks, ‘butter waffles’ and magic gobstoppers – and nostalgic toys, classic picture postcards and old-fashioned oil lamps, too. Of course, you are also welcome to visit the shop simply to soak up the atmosphere of earlier days. The shop is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 12 to 4 pm (address: Sint Agathaplein 3A).
